Have you ever wondered why the Oakland Nature Preserve focuses on restoring the Uplands trails?  Or who was living in Central Florida before the Europeans? How about, what makes gopher tortoises so important? Join our volunteer docents for a guided walk through our Uplands trails to discover the “Real Florida.” We will be exploring the significance of our Uplands ecosystems, point out some unique plants and animals, & dive into our Native American history.

Please dress for the weather with sun and bug protection. We also recommend close toed shoes and bringing a hat and reusable water bottle. In case of inclement weather, we will contact all participants the morning of the walk with more information.

Registration to open on March 31.
