    Half Mile Forest Bathing Excursion & Meditation Session. Bring water. 45-minute session. Hike begins at 9am on the porch of the Environmental Education Center.

    Please register for the Yoga at 10am separately if you wish to participate in the 2-hour mindfulness experience.

    Have you ever wondered why the Oakland Nature Preserve focuses on restoring the Uplands trails?  Or who was living in Central Florida before the Europeans? How about, what makes gopher tortoises so important? Join our volunteer docents for a guided walk through our Uplands trails to discover the “Real Florida.” We will be exploring the significance of our Uplands ecosystems, point out some unique plants and animals, & dive into our Native American history.

    Please dress for the weather with sun and bug protection. We also recommend close toed shoes and bringing a hat and reusable water bottle. In case of inclement weather, we will contact all participants the morning of the walk with more information.

    Join us at the Oakland Nature Preserve's Ginn Museum for Story Time from 10am to 1030am. The session will focus on a theme, and will allow children, with a parent or caregiver, to enjoy a wonderful story, activity or animal interaction, and time at the Preserve.

    Week : Art in Nature                                                                  

    A creative week where artists will explore the beauty of the outdoors through painting, crafts, clay and other artistic mediums, culminating in an art gallery showcasing their talent.

    Ages 8-12

    Due to the extra supplies and space required for an artistic camp, the fee for this week is slightly higher than other camps weeks.
